In this role, you will support the finance team with monthly reconciliations and seamless payments. You also have a knack for speed. You’re rarely trapped in analysis paralysis and your secret weapon is timely delivery without errors.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including cash flow and budget performance reports.
  • Perform reconciliations for bank statements, ledgers, and invoices.
  • Support compliance with applicable standards (i.e., IFRS, GAAP) and regulatory requirements, including SEC rules and Cooperative statutes.
  • Process and document payments on bank platforms.
  • Maintain records for asset registers, invoices, and operational expenses.
  • Assist with monthly management account preparation and financial reporting.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information to the Accountant and management.
  • Collaborate with external auditors by organizing and supplying required documentation.
  • Ensure timely remittances and filings of taxes and statutory deductions.
  • Support currency sourcing/swap activities and weekly payment disbursements.

Qualifications, Skill Sets, and Values

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Progress toward becoming a Chartered Accountant is an advantage.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
  • 2-3 years of accounting or finance experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Understanding of tax filings and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organisational and numeracy skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
